Quarry at Old Hickory Lake

Old Hickory Lake is public land managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It’s one of the Corps’ top three most popular sites in the country.

But the area is now under threat. A proposed quarry will be built in the wrong place, too close to a beach and an aging dam.

This quarry makes no sense, so almost every elected official in Davidson County is fighting it. Read below for details and up-to-date information.
